Taman Caliandra has been built, to European standards, as a series of pavilions set around a large free-form swimming pool, all nestled within a verdant tropical garden. Tastefully furnished and decorated, it is complete with all modern amenities. The property comprises a main lounge and dining building, four large bedroom suites and various support buildings.

The main pavilion has a spacious split-level lounge and dining area, a fully equipped Western-style kitchen and a guest toilet. The lounge area has comfy sofa seating and the dining room easily accommodates eight around the large custom-made square table. From this imposing building there are unimpeded views over the magnificent swimming pool and surrounding garden.

Each of the four large air-conditioned bedrooms offers an en-suite bathroom and double sliding glass doors onto terraces with sweeping views over the grounds. The master bedroom is split level and has a walk-in closet. Two of the bedrooms have king-sized beds and two have twin beds (one of which can be converted to a double, if required). One of these bedrooms is currently used as a home theatre by the owner.  Three of the en-suites are “garden” bathrooms and, as well as a shower, the Master Bathroom has a sunken bath big enough for two.

Complimenting this, there are numerous support areas: a study, laundry room, stores and an air-conditioned staff accommodation building

The villa’s outstanding feature is undoubtedly the superb free-form swimming pool, designed with all ages in mind: a spacious main pool of over 110m², one end comfortably 90cm deep, the other sloping down to 2m, with seating ledges on which to recline and relax; a child’s pool next to the main terrace just 30cm deep; and a 45cm depth lower pool under the waterfall to splash around in. Sun-loungers grace the surrounding terrace and there are a couple of reclining seats outside the master bedroom, shaded under its overhanging roof.

A Balè begong (pergola), surrounded by a shallow fishpond, lies just beyond the swimming pool in the lower garden and is the ideal location for a massage, a snooze in the shade or simply a quiet retreat with a book.
